This is a nice little slideshow utility that you can use for impromptu presentations, electronic portfolios, sorting through images, and viewing Quicktime™ PICTS and movies. Just double-click to play all Pict files, JPEG/JFIF files, and Quicktime™ movies in the same folder as a continuous slideshow. Use it with impunity! It's tiny enough (32k) to fit easily onto a disk full of images or to have hundreds of them scattered throughout your system. We hope you'll soon find it an indispensable tool.
Some features from previous versions have been discarded and replaced with the following new improvements:
•Options to scale small images up and large images down independently
•Reads JPEG/JFIF files
•Optional display of file names during slideshow
•Fades to black at launch and quit
•Can display large images even with little RAM allotted
•Option to save preferred settings
This is freely distributable software, but we do ask that the HSC splashscreen and credits at the beginning be left intact.
KPT After Dark™ Modules
We have included two brand new screensaver modules that will run with Berkeley Systems’ After Dark™ screensaver software. To install, just drop them into your After Dark Files folder; of course, you must have After Dark™ or other After Dark-compatible software for these to function.
KPT Glass Lens Screensaver
When your system has been inactive for the prescribed time period, it will Glass Lens the heck out of your screen, with drop shadows too! Yow... If you are not familiar with Kai's Power Tools, you should really check 'em out. This KPT Glass Lens effect is one of 37 different filters shipping as Kai's Power Tools 2.1, from HSC Software.
KPT Panorama Screensaver
KPT Bryce™ 1.0 has the unique ability to create seamless 360° panoramic landscapes; this After Dark™ module allows you to use one of those panoramic views as a scrolling screensaver on your desktop.
Put the image you wish to use into your System Folder, and give it the name "Bryce Image". After the prescribed period of time, the KPT Panorama screensaver will bring the image up on your screen, and scroll endlessly through the image, left to right or right to left. The effect is the same as if a movie camera in a fixed location were revolving around and around, showing you the entire visible landscape.
